Hospice Care in Austin since 2014
Our goal is to help patients and families across the Metro Austin area maintain their best quality of life, even when facing a serious illness.
We start by listening. When we understand your needs, you receive a more personal and culturally appropriate level of support. Care includes practical, emotional, and spiritual support so you can focus on important moments with family and friends. Whether you live in Austin, Bastrop, San Marcos, or the eastern half of the Hill Country, our team will travel to where you live, including nursing facilities, hospitals, or your personal home. We also have a location in Round Rock, covering the area north of Austin.
What Is Hospice Care?
Hospice care is a type of healthcare that aims to reduce suffering and promote comfort at the end of an individual’s life. Pain and any other symptoms are managed around the clock, and the hospice team focuses greatly on spiritual and emotional health as well.
The foundations of hospice include nursing care with an emphasis on managing symptoms, practical assistance, and emotional support. Caring for a loved one at home can be challenging. Our goal is to provide timely services to help your family make the most of your time together.
Services Include:
- Home medical equipment and personal supplies
- Around-the-clock access to care
- Managing pain and other symptoms to your goals
- Hospice aides to help with the tasks of daily living
- Medical social services
- Spiritual care and support
- Physical, occupational, dietary, and speech therapies
- Support from volunteers
- Respite care (relief) for family caregivers
- Ongoing Grief counseling for the patient, family, and friends
Hospice has four levels of care, carried out by a team of professionals to ensure dignity and comfort at the end of an individual’s life.
Hospice is Medicare Benefit You Have Earned
Did you know that hospice is fully covered by Medicare? That’s right, you can rest assured that nursing services, medications, supplies and equipment are covered when there is a diagnosis requiring hospice care.
Care is provided wherever you call home, whether it be a hospital, nursing home, assisted living or your personal residence.
Care transitions – Home Health
We understand that family caregivers are often balancing home and family responsibilities. Our goal is to help you understand your options for at-home health and ensure care transitions are as easy as possible.
