Carla Roberts has served as the executive director in Mountain Grove since 2001. She has expanded the program’s footprint and opened two additional offices in the area.
With more than 24 years of leadership experience, Roberts oversees day-to-day operations of the program and leads the care team to deliver the highest quality hospice care to the communities the program serves. She also serves on the Missouri Hospice and Palliative Care Association Board of Directors and the Missouri Hospice Advisory Board.
Prior to joining Compassus,Roberts served as the district manager for Missouri Home Care – West Plains. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology and criminal justice from Drury University in Springfield, Missouri.
Managing Clinical Director
Debbie Martin is the managing clinical director of the Compassus programs serving Mountain Grove, West Plains and Lebanon, Missouri. She started with the company in 2003 as case manager and was promoted to on-call registered nurse and director of clinical services before becoming managing clinical director.
In her current role, Martin manages the hospice care team and oversees all patient care activities, including planning, staffing, monitoring and reporting.
Martin began her nursing career at Mercy Hospital and subsequently held positions at Urology Surgical Associates, Springfield, Urology Associates and Ferrell-Duncan Clinic in Springfield, Missouri. She earned her nursing degree from St. John’s School of Nursing in Springfield.
Listening to a hospice patient's story or reading a passage of their favorite book can enrich the life of a hospice patient. Whether you volunteer behind the scenes at a local office or one-on-with families, you'll be joining fellow volunteers who are helping others navigate life's closing chapters.

Lori MacPherson is the medical director in Mountain Grove, Missouri. She oversees the hospice care team and works with physicians in the community to provide expert hospice care for patients. She has been with Compassus since June 2008. She is also a family practice physician at Cox Family Medicine of Mountain Grove.
