A Heartwarming Ceremony in Flagstaff, Arizona

The Compassus hospice program serving Flagstaff, Arizona and surrounding communities had the privilege of performing a ‘We Honor Veterans’ pinning ceremony this past month at The Bluffs Senior Living Community. It was a day filled with respect, gratitude, and heartfelt moments.

The ceremony was led by our Chaplain, who wore his dignified Air Force uniform. He stood tall and proud as he presented certificates to each veteran present. But it wasn’t just about the certificates; it was about recognizing the bravery and sacrifices made by these incredible individuals and families.

One of our patients, a remarkable 102-year-old, was there, glowing with excitement. She was so lively and full of joy as we paid tribute to her late husband and father, both of whom bravely served in the United States Army. Her two sons stood by her side, sharing in the warmth of the ceremony.

What made this day even more touching was the unity and support shown by the entire Compassus team. They all came together, not just during their regular working hours, but in their own time, to honor these veterans and their families. It truly shows how dedicated they are to serving not only their patients but also their community.
