Payson Program Recognized for Excellence

The Compassus hospice program serving Payson, which ranked among the organization’s top three programs in the country, has been named a Compassus Program of Distinction for its outstanding performance in 2020. In addition, Payson Hospice Care Consultant Terri LaBute was honored for her outstanding performance and inducted into the 2021 Compassus President’s Circle.

Compassus – Payson received Program of Distinction honors for outperforming its peers in six Pillars of Success, which provide Compassus’ 200 locations across 30 states a common service vision based on measurable goals that continually lead to improving the quality of care for patients and their families.

“This recognition is a testament to the hard work and commitment of our leadership and the members of the Payson team,” said Tera Smith, area market executive of Compassus – Payson. “Our program stands wholeheartedly behind our mission to provide exceptional end-of-life care, and we are honored to be recognized for our unwavering efforts to support our patients’ medical, emotional and spiritual needs.”

The Compassus President’s Circle is reserved for top-performing hospice and home health care consultants. LaBute is one of 75 inductees in this year’s President’s Circle, all of whom have consistently expanded access to home health, palliative and hospice care in their communities.

“Terri is an inspiration to her fellow colleagues. She works diligently to help patients gain access to the care they need, improving quality of life at a very vulnerable time for both patients and their loved ones,” said Kammy Heuett, area executive of clinical operations of Compassus – Payson. “Her commitment is truly impactful and allows our program to demonstrate quality care in its best form.”
