Synthia Cathcart, Vice President of Clinical Education and Development, has been appointed to the National Quality Forum Action Team on Person-Centered Medication Safety.
By creating a forum for health care organizations and the patients, caregivers and family members they serve, this team seeks strategies to improve medication safety across the continuum of care. The team will develop and share priorities, goals and promising practices about medication timing, the importance of adherence, and understanding treatment aims.
“Synthia is extraordinarily qualified for this action team,” said Kurt Merkelz, Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at Compassus. “She has been instrumental in developing and standardizing the policies and procedures guiding our care model to ensure the organization provides the same level of high-quality care to patients and families across all of our service areas.”
