COLUMBIA, Tenn. – Shawna Finley, hospice care consultant for the Compassus program serving Columbia and the surrounding counties, was honored for her outstanding performance and inducted into the 2018 Compassus Presidents’ Circle during a recent awards ceremony at the Compassus National Leadership Meeting in New Orleans.
The Presidents’ Circle is reserved for top-performing Compassus hospice care consultants. Finley is one of 64 inductees this year, all of whom have consistently expanded access to hospice, palliative and home health care in their communities through education of referral sources and families. Finley serves Maury, Hickman and Marshall counties, and is a fifth-year recipient of the honor.
“Shawna has consistently shown dedication to helping our patients and their loved ones gain access to the care they need,” said Edie Rimas, executive director of the Compassus – Columbia program. “Her hard work and commitment to spreading the Compassus vision is unsurpassed and an inspiration to other colleagues. I am proud of and grateful to her for making a positive impact on the lives of the patients and families we serve.”
“I am honored by this recognition and thankful to be able to do meaningful work that helps patients facing life-limiting illnesses receive the quality end-of-life care they need,” said Finley. “I am strongly supported by our clinical team who provides the highest quality care to each of our patients and families.”
