Casa Grande Hospice Honors Chaplain for Pastoral Care Week

CASA GRANDE, Ariz. – The Compassus program serving Casa Grande and the surrounding areas recognizes Chaplain Sandra Crow during Pastoral Care Week, October 22-28, 2017, for providing the highest level of spiritual care and guidance for hospice patients and their families.

“We are proud to recognize Sandra’s immense compassion for our patients and their families,” said Julie Hoffman, executive director for Compassus – Casa Grande. “Hospice chaplains offer spiritual support – directly or in collaboration with a patient’s or family’s own clergy or spiritual counselor – to provide a more meaningful end-of-life experience.

Sandra’s humble and caring personality and exceptional ability comfort others and alleviate suffering make her an integral part of our Compassus team. We are privileged and honored to work alongside her.”

Regardless of spiritual, religious or cultural background, Pastoral Care Week celebrates those who provide spiritual support to those receiving hospice or palliative care wherever they call home and in many other settings including hospitals, long-term care facilities and nursing homes.

Compassus – Casa Grande will recognize local pastoral care providers next week by presenting them with framed certificates of appreciation for their dedication to the patients and families they serve.
