John Arena

John Arena is the Chief Legal Officer at Compassus, where he guides the company’s legal and advocacy strategy and initiatives. Prior to joining Compassus, Arena served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel at SpecialtyCare, and as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Direct General Corporation.

Arena holds an LL.M in Taxation from Southern Methodist University, a Juris Doctor (Cum Laude) from Tulane School of Law, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting from the University of Rhode Island. His legal expertise is complemented by extensive project leadership in mergers, governance, cybersecurity, and operational transformation.
