Nurse Assistant Celebrates 20 Year Anniversary With Compassus

DUNCAN, S.C. – The Compassus program serving Duncan and the surrounding communities today announced the 20-year anniversary of hospice nurse assistant Robbie Fiore.

Fiore works alongside others in the hospice care team – including nurses, social workers, volunteers, chaplains and physicians – to provide comforting, end-of-life care. In her role, she helps patients with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting.

A Texas native, she moved to Spartanburg at the age of 27 and received her Home Health Aide (HHA) certification and training at Magnolia Manor Inman before joining Compassus in 1996.

“I am so proud to be celebrating 20 years at Compassus, a company that believes it is important to make every moment of life as meaningful as possible,” said Fiore. “Every day with my patients and their families, I am moved to do just that.”

“Robbie is an incredible source of comfort, emotional support and companionship for her patients and their families,” said Edie Riddlespurger, executive director for Compassus – South Carolina. “We are so happy to have her on our care team, and we know our patients are too.”
