Compassus Home Health and Hospice participate in Northern New Mexico Honor Flight Fundraiser

Our Compassus Home Health and Hospice teams in northern New Mexico recently joined forces through our We Honor Veterans initiative to help raise funds for the Northern NM Honor Flight— a program that takes 20 elder veterans to Washington, D.C., each year to visit the national war memorials.
This meaningful experience gives many veterans the chance to see their service honored and recognized, often for the first time. One veteran shared that visiting the Vietnam Memorial and finding the names of his fallen comrades gave him a sense of closure and peace he had long awaited, “It was the first real goodbye I’ve ever had.”
We are humbled to help make this once-in-a-lifetime experience possible and proud to stand beside those who have bravely served our nation.
