Q: What personal values drive you in your role, and how does your work align with those values?ย
A:ย Being dependable and following through on my word are the values that guide me most in my role.ย I believe trustย is built in the quiet momentsโwhen people know they can count on you, even when things are hard or uncomfortable. In leadership, that means showing up consistently for my team and honoring the commitments I make to them. For the families we serve, dependability means something even deeper. During one of the most vulnerable seasons of their lives, they deserve to know that the promises we make will be kept.ย
Q: What was the defining moment that made you feel proud to be part of this team or field?ย
A:ย The most pivotal moment for me came when my own family called and told me it was time for my uncle. Without hesitation, I said, โMy team has this. We will handle everything from here on out.โ In that moment, a wave of emotion came over meโbecause I truly meant it. I knew, without doubt, that Iย didnโtย need to explain who he was to me. Iย didnโtย need special requests or extra words. Every person I work alongside treats every patient as if they are someoneโs uncleโsomeone deeply loved, respected, andย deserving ofย dignity.ย
Q: How do you feel your work makes a difference for the people we serve or the team around you?ย
A:ย My hope is that my work makes a difference by creating a culture of happiness and purpose. As a leader, I am continuously learning and evolving, but I strive to lead in a way that balances accountability with compassion. Through policies and procedures, tough decisions, and challenging days, my goal is to leave people feeling supported and seen. I want our NWIL team to beย remindedย why they love the work they do, our families to feel confident and at peace with the decisionsย theyโveย made, and our accounts to trust that we lead with integrity and are in this work for all the right reasons.ย
Q: What part of your job gives you the most satisfaction or fulfillment? Why?ย
A:ย The most fulfilling part of my role as an Area Market Executive is watching Hospice Care Consultants push past their comfort zones and then watching them excel. Those moments are deeply meaningful to me because theyย representย growth, confidence, and belief in themselves. What stays with me most are the moments after: the conversations in the car if I am there ridingย along or the phone callsย immediatelyย following, filled with excitement, reflection, and pride as we walk through every detail.ย ย
Q: What aspect of your role do you feel is often overlooked but is important to your “why”?ย
A:ย I am blessed to work for a company thatย truly appreciates, supports, and fuels growth. I feel especially thankful to be part of a region and area where operational leaders respect and encourage the growth team, allowing us to help bridge access to care with every life we touch. As a team in Northwestย Illinoisย we were honored to provide the gift of hospice to 1,003ย patients. But what can be overlooked is what contributed to that number. Behind those patients are 1,003+ family members whose expectations were heard before their loved one was admittedย to service.ย More than 1,000ย families who had their questions answered, who were educated on hospice, and who were given the clarity and reassurance needed to make one of the hardest decisions of their livesโwithout doubt. When I accepted this position, I made a promise to myself: to help lead a team of deeply passionateย hospiceย careย consultants who would ensure that no one is left questioning their decisionโeven years after the passing of their loved one.ย
That isย my why. I only wish this had beenย theย experience my grandmother had.ย
