COLTON, Calif. – The Cornerstone Hospice program serving Colton and the surrounding communities announced today that it will take on the Compassus name effective immediately. The name change is part of a rebranding initiative following Compassus’ purchase of substantially all Genesis home health and hospice programs, including 10 community-based hospice programs and seven home care programs, earlier this year.
This acquisition brought together two highly respected providers of compassionate post-acute care, creating one of the nation’s largest private independent providers of home health, palliative and hospice services.

Last year, Compassus acquired both Hospice Advantage and Life Choice Hospice, expanding the company’s services to 150 locations in 28 states. With the Genesis acquisition, Compassus entered markets in two new states, including Idaho and Montana.
