A Patchwork of Gratitude

A Patchwork of Gratitude

Patchwork of Gratitude

At Compassus in North Andover, MA, gratitude is stitched into everything they do—literally. In celebration of Volunteer Appreciation Week, our hospice team came together to create something truly meaningful: a handmade quilt with each square lovingly decorated by a member of our team as a tribute to the compassion and dedication of our volunteers.

What made this gift even more special was the personal touch from Cheryl Dean, our Senior Hospice Care Consultant. Cheryl’s mother, Roseann Colarusso, generously volunteered her time and talent to assemble the quilt, transforming our individual squares into a beautiful, unified piece of art.

On April 22, our team had the joy of presenting the finished quilt at a Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon. The smiles, surprise and heartfelt thanks from our volunteers made every stitch worth it. The quilt now hangs proudly in the North Andover office as a daily reminder of the invaluable role our volunteers play in delivering compassionate care.

It’s more than just a quilt. It’s a symbol of our deep appreciation created with love and shared with those who give so selflessly.
