A Lasting Memory at Niagara Falls
With the support of the Compassus Living Foundation, our Compassus hospice team in Grand Blanc, MI, recently helped make a final wish come true for one of our patients—a gesture rooted in love and dignity.
Knowing this anniversary might be their last together, Neil Coan wished to do something unforgettable for his wife, Lisa, while he still had the strength to travel. Honoring his heartfelt request, our team coordinated a two-night getaway to Niagara Falls, complete with a hotel room overlooking the breathtaking view.
To make the trip even more memorable, our team secured tickets for the iconic Maid of the Mist boat tour, bringing the couple up close to the powerful beauty of the Falls. While there, Neil and Lisa chose to renew their vows with the Falls as their backdrop—a touching reaffirmation of their love. That evening, they capped off their celebration watching fireworks light up the sky!
The Coans were deeply grateful for this special gift, and our Grand Blanc team was honored to walk alongside them in making this cherished memory possible. This is the heart of hospice care—helping patients live fully and with purpose, every step of the way.
