Behind every seamless training experience at Compassus is someone ensuring our teams have the tools they need to learn, grow and deliver exceptional care. For Senior Learning Management System Administrator Jonathan Cedeno in Brentwood, TN, that work is more than technology—it’s about people.
Driven by kindness and a deep sense of purpose, Jonathan believes every support request is an opportunity to make someone feel valued and empowered. His behind-the-scenes role in managing the Learning Management System (LMS) helps connect education, efficiency and compassion, ensuring that those caring for patients and families have what they need to succeed.
What personal values drive you in your role, and how does your work align with those values?
Kindness and understanding are at the heart of everything I do. Behind every support request is a person trying their best to learn or do their job effectively. By leading with empathy, I can create a positive experience—even when technical challenges arise. My goal is always to make people feel supported, valued and heard.
What was a defining moment that made you proud to be part of Compassus?
A defining moment was realizing how much impact accurate training assignments and reporting have on our organization. Seeing how the visibility our LMS team provides supports Compliance and Quality Care showed me that behind every data point is a real-world outcome. That connection between learning systems and patient impact made me proud to be part of Compassus.
How does your work make a difference for the people we serve?
When I help teammates navigate training or resolve technical issues, I know that a little patience and empathy can go a long way. By making the learning process smoother, I help our teams focus on what truly matters—providing excellent care to patients and families.
What part of your job gives you the most fulfillment?
The most rewarding part of my job is connecting with team members and hearing the relief in their voices when an issue is resolved. Turning a challenge into a success reminds me that technology can bring people together when approached with care and collaboration.
What motivates you to keep going, even on challenging days?
Knowing that my work helps caregivers who support patients and families during life’s most meaningful moments keeps me motivated. Even on tough days, that connection gives my work purpose. Every report, course and ticket contributes to the larger mission of compassionate care.
What’s one thing about your role that connects deeply to your “why”?
A lot of my work happens behind the scenes—configuring training systems, workflows and compliance settings—but those details ensure every team member is equipped for success. It ties directly to our value of Excellence: delivering outstanding outcomes through dedication and personal responsibility.
What about the Compassus mission resonates most with you?
Our mission to advance well-being and honor quality of life reflects the purpose behind every system I manage and every course I help deliver. Even though my work isn’t patient-facing, it plays a vital role in preparing and empowering those who are. That’s what makes it so meaningful.
