At Compassus, every team member brings a story, a purpose and a personal “why” that inspires their work. This month, we’re proud to spotlight Recruitment Marketing Specialist Carlee Perez, whose journey from our joint venture with Providence at Home with Compassus to the Compassus home office reflects a deep commitment to purpose-driven work, people and possibility.
Q: What brought you to Compassus and recruitment marketing?
Carlee: I started with Providence at Home with Compassus, supporting strategic recruitment efforts across California, Oregon, Washington and Alaska. I worked on Indeed hiring events and partnered with local teams on talent strategies. When the opportunity arose to transition into a full-time Compassus role, it felt like a natural continuation of the work I loved—connecting people to careers that make a difference.
Q: What keeps you motivated in this work?
Carlee: I love the strategic, big-picture thinking that recruitment marketing allows. Whether it’s launching a campaign, building partnerships with colleges or tracking performance, I find it really fulfilling to bring thoughtful ideas to life. It’s not just about filling roles—it’s about telling stories and aligning people with work that truly matters.
Q: What has your transition from Providence to Compassus been like?
Carlee: It’s been incredibly smooth, both personally and professionally. The skills I gained through the joint venture helped me hit the ground running, and I felt welcomed and supported from the start. I’m proud to now play a part in shaping how we communicate our mission to potential candidates.
Q: What does “Care for who I am” mean to you?
Carlee: For me, it’s about meeting people where they are—whether that’s a patient, a candidate or a colleague. I value a holistic approach to life and work. Seeing people fully, honoring who they are and what they bring, creates a culture of connection and growth. That’s the kind of environment I want to help build here.
Q: What advice would you give to someone just starting their Compassus journey?
Carlee: Embrace the mission and the culture. Care for who I am isn’t just about how we treat patients—it’s how we show up for each other. Be open, build relationships and lean into the support around you. You’re not in this alone.
Carlee’s story is one of thoughtful transition, strategic insight and a heart for connection. We’re grateful to have her on the team—bringing both purpose and passion to every project.
