Robert Woodrome, M.D., Named Medical Director of Compassus Program Serving Huntsville

HUNTSVILLE, Texas – Compassus, a nationwide network of community-based hospice programs and palliative care services, today announced the addition of Robert Woodrome, M.D., as medical director of the program serving Huntsville, Texas, and the surrounding communities.


In his role, Woodrome will provide quality medical care to patients, working with their team of physicians to develop care plans that meet their specific needs. He will oversee the entire hospice care team, as well as the protocol for pain and symptom management.

Woodrome has 21 years of experience and maintains his own practice in Livingston, Shepherd, Splendora and Spring, Texas. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, his medical and master’s degrees from the University of Texas at San Antonio and completed his residency at Christus Health System. Woodrome was awarded the Army Achievement Medal during Operation Iraqi Freedom and the Army Accommodation Medal during Operation Enduring Freedom. He also received the National Defense Service Medal in recognition of his service during a national emergency.
