LAKESIDE, Ariz. – The Compassus – Lakeside hospice program serving the entire White Mountains region today announced the promotion of Kammy Heuett from director of clinical services to executive director.
In her new role, Heuett will oversee day-to-day operations of the hospice program and lead teams of affiliated physicians, medical professionals, social workers, volunteers and other specialists to deliver the highest quality care.
Heuett joined Compassus in 2012 as a registered nurse case manager. In her six years with the company she served as an admissions nurse as well as director of clinical services before transitioning into her new role as executive director.
In 2017 Heuett joined a team of Compassus colleagues on an annual mission trip to Cape Town, South Africa, to assist Living Hope, the company’s sister hospice program.
“I am proud to have the opportunity to help improve access to the benefits of hospice care for those facing life-limiting illnesses throughout the White Mountains area,” said Heuett. “I look forward to serving the needs and fulfilling the expectations of our patients and their families.”
In an effort to better serve the community, Heuett has established three interdisciplinary teams within the program led by Directors of Clinical Services Rachel Croft, Nicole Burdick and Judy St. John.
