Casa Grande, Ariz. – The Hospice Compassus program serving Casa Grande and the surrounding areas is commemorating National Doctors’ Day on March 30 by recognizing physicians for the care they provide patients. Hospice Compassus is proud to take part in the national day of recognition and honor doctors for the specialized treatment they provide hospice patients.
“Physicians dedicate themselves to improving the lives of others. They provide comfort and care to our hospice patients and deserve recognition,” said Cheryse Austin, Executive Director of the Hospice Compassus Casa Grande program. “Physicians are an integral part of the family here at Hospice Compassus – Casa Grande. We are thankful for the crucial role they play in alleviating patient suffering and helping families cope with serious illness.”
There are several ways in which trained physicians help with hospice care. Hospice health care providers have expertise in pain management and symptom control. The physicians are trained to help patients and families cope with the difficulties of hospice care, including medical treatment side effects and caregiver stress. Hospice doctors can also assist patients and loved ones with making difficult medical decisions.
Hospice Compassus – Casa Grande will recognize local physicians on Doctors’ Day by personally delivering items of appreciation to their offices.
