Community-Based Hospice Provider Recognizes National Nursing Home Week
OSCEOLA, Mo. – The Hospice Compassus program serving Osceola and the surrounding areas recognizes residents and patients in long term and post-acute care settings, the dedicated staff who care for them, and the families who support their loved ones during National Nursing Home Week May 11 -17.
“We are proud to recognize the more than 20 facilities that collaborate with Hospice Compassus to assure all nursing home residents who qualify have access to the highest quality hospice care in the communities where they live,” said Donal Dunbar, Executive Director of Hospice Compassus – Osceola.
Hospice Compassus – Osceola will recognize local nursing homes this week by presenting nurses with framed certificates of appreciation for their dedication to the patients and families they serve.
First established in 1967 by the American Health Care Association, National Nursing Home Week is celebrated in an effort to promote the relationships among residents, their families, staff and the community at large – including the vital collaboration of nursing homes and hospice providers.
