Monica Perez Receives National Recognition for Delivery of Superior Hospice Care during National Nursing Assistants Week


YUMA, Ariz. – The Hospice Compassus program serving Yuma and the surrounding areas recognizes Monica Perez during National Nursing Assistant Week June 13 -20for providing the highest level of quality hospice care for patients and their families.


“We are proud to recognize Monica for her tireless efforts to provide our patients and their families with superior hospice care that goes beyond fulfilling their medical and emotional needs, by delivering a more meaningful end of life experience for those patients who qualify for care,” said Amberly Davis-Owens, RN, BSN, Executive Director for Hospice Compassus – Yuma. “Monica’s positive and caring attitude, exceptional ability to understand and comfort patients, and willingness to support colleagues makes her an integral part of our Hospice Compassus team, and we are lucky to have her onboard.”


Nursing assistants provide as much as 90 percent of the direct long term care delivered in the United States, interacting daily with a myriad of different personalities, cultures, abilities and disabilities in nursing homes, home care, hospice, assisted living, and other long term care settings.


Hospice Compassus – Yuma will recognize other local nursing assistants this week by presenting them with certificates of appreciation for their dedication to the patients and families they serve.
