SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Compassus program serving Springfield and the surrounding communities will host Advance Directive Day on Wednesday, Nov. 4, from 1 to 4 p.m. Compassus – Springfield invites members of the community to come learn about preparing advance directives from certified social workers and notaries.
“Only about half of adults aged 60 and older have an advance directive expressing their wishes for end-of-life care,” said Amy Winburn, executive director of Compassus – Springfield. “With this event, we hope to empower our community members to control the type of care they receive should they be unable to speak for themselves.”
