MERIDIAN, Miss. — Compassus, a nationwide network of community-based hospice programs and palliative care services, today announced the addition of Ginger Alford, R.N., as executive director for the program serving Meridian and the surrounding communities.
Alford will oversee day-to-day operations of the program and lead a team of affiliated physicians, medical professionals, social workers, volunteers, and other specialists to deliver the highest quality hospice care available in the communities the program serves.
She brings more than a decade of experience in emergency nursing to her role at Compassus. Alford’s leadership experience includes positions as director of emergency services at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital and trauma program manager at Rush Health Systems.
“I am incredibly fortunate to work alongside this team of dedicated and loyal professionals,” said Alford. “I look forward to helping Compassus’ hospice and palliative care team achieve its mission of delivering the highest quality hospice care available to patients and their families.”
Alford holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Mississippi University for Women.
