Director of Clinical Services

As Director of Clinical Services, you will oversee the day-to-day clinical operations of our Osceola program — ensuring regulatory compliance, care quality and staff performance align with Compassus standards and the needs of the patients and families we serve. 

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, develop and retain a high-performing interdisciplinary clinical team 
  • Conduct ongoing performance management, coaching and clinical supervision 
  • Foster a culture of accountability, compassion and continuous learning 
  • Coordinate staffing schedules to meet patient and program needs 

Clinical Quality/ Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and accreditation standards 
  • Oversee clinical documentation accuracy and care plan integrity 
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and QAPI processes 
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director on clinical protocols and patient outcomes 

Operational Performance

  • Manage program budgets and contribute to census growth goals 
  • Partner with the Executive Director on strategic program planning 
  • Monitor productivity metrics and operational KPIs 
  • Support referral source relationships to strengthen community partnerships 

Patient-Centered Care Oversight

  • Champion individualized, dignity-centered care planning 
  • Ensure timely and complete patient admissions and visits 
  • Serve as clinical escalation resource for complex patient needs 
  • Uphold Compassus standards for symptom management and family support 

 

Qualifications

We are looking for a clinical leader with proven home-based care experience, strong regulatory knowledge and the personal commitment to deliver compassionate, community-first care. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Missouri 
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in home health, hospice, or palliative care 
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical supervisory or management experience 
  • Thorough knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid conditions of participation 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead interdisciplinary care teams 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Reliable transportation and valid Missouri driver’s license 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher 
  • CHPN, CRRN, or other relevant clinical certification 
  • Experience in rural home care program leadership 
  • Familiarity with OASIS documentation and home health outcomes 
  • Prior experience with QAPI program administration 
  • Established relationships in the Osceola or St. Clair County health care community
